When we lived in London, we made frequent trips to the local Middle-Eastern market to purchase their big, juicy Medjool dates. This chutney-in which the dates are slowly simmered with tomatoes, red peppers, apples, cumin, chili and whole coriander seeds-takes us right back to these trips.
We love this chutney with a wedge of aged Cheddar, simmered into a glaze for barbecued chicken, or tossed with roasted root vegetables.
